Nim Notes 1/22/2020 and some Lore
- Feywild with the Shifter Race and levels beyond epic level 30 is coming sometime after this Nim Notes publishing in a new expansion!
Feywild is a lively and emotional plane of existance, home of the seelie court and unseelie court, things can go jovial to out right murderous when emotions sweep you to the most extreme sides of actions.
The new level cap will not effect epic reincarnation as it is.
The Shifter is a race that shares kinship with Lycanthropes. They were also being slaughtered by the Silver Flame during their war versus Lycanthropes, till they made a deal that caused many Lycanthropes death to save face and their own lives from the Silver Flame.
- Cordovan did mention they will be taking 5th edition as their inspiration for their Shifter. As of current 5th edition meta this means possible 4 racial paths that dictates their racial stats.
Here is an idea of where Shifters are in 5e PnP D&D, this will be a clue of what they are bringing into the game, they may not bring all four subraces (like aasimar had two plus the iconic, they may give us three and make one the iconic or something of those lines.) but you can see where each is of course tailored to a certain melee style or defense martial style.
All shifters have Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. Shifting. As a bonus action, you can assume a more bestial appearance. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as a bonus action.
