Extra skill points can go into capping Spellcraft first, then into Listen/Spot (depending on if you have a Night Revels candy or not) or Search.
If you go human, take Completionist or some other feat that will bump up your Enchantment DC (so probably Greater Spell Focus.)
When in a group, you're a jill of all trades, so choose healing or crowd control (whichever the group is short on) and focus on that. Scream at things to do a little spell damage. In epics you can also use Hellball and Arcane Pulse for a little bit extra. I prefer the Intensify/Embolden route for some extra damage and DCs, but if you hjave the gear, Ruin/gRuin is a valid way to go.
