Reaper Life 1 Build: Vorpal Queen (Gnome 20 Artificer)

This build was made for Reaper Life, to vorpal away like the previous life but without playing the exact same build for two straight lives. It is heavily based off of the Dubbell O'Seven build, but made fleshy.

There are no enhancements listed yet due to the impending Artificer pass in Update 36. You will want to put at least 8 points in Harper Agent for Strategic Combat 1 and Know The Angles. Once the pass goes live I will add a set of enhancements.

In the early game, you will be leaning heavily on your repeater and runearm for DPS. Keep a heavy DPS crossbow handy for mobs that can't be Vorpaled. You will also want to slot in Curative Admixtures if you're running Reaper. Midgame is much of the same.

Once you get to late game, things change and you can start showing off your offensive spells. Blade Barrier, Tactical Detonation, and Prismatic Strike will be useful in varying situations. You are, however, ranged DPS first. The Fatal Flaw will be your workhorse through the rest of Heroics.

This setup will give you a lot of Ranged Power to use with your Rune Arm imbues, a decent bit of Intelligence (season to taste, you want it to end up even so you may need to take out or add a point depending on gear and tomes), and doesn't skimp entirely on spellpower. Imbue Defender is not taken for the Arti pup, which is still useless in most content and an outright liability in Reaper - it's taken for the passive spellpower. 

If you go into Epics, you'll want to use Legendary Dreadnaught. Accept no substitutes.

The build plays about the same way in Heroics as it did in U36, though on the back end of Heroics you will start to switch over to more of a self-repairing build. You still get a lot of damage and your party healing ability, plus the ability to tank heal if need be with Converter and a souped-up Reconstruct.

The build is now less race-restrictive and works well as any race, though Gnomes and Deep Gnomes still get racial +INT without a Constitution penalty, and Humans have heal amp in their racial tree to offset Construct Essence a little, and thus those three races are preferred.
