Here are the release notes for Update 74.1.3, released on Thursday, August 14th, 2025.

News and Notes:

Game Performance:

  • Adjustments have been made to the way the Monster Manual updates during combat to assist with game performance. There should be no public change to your Monster Manual as a result of this adjustment.
  • We have adjusted a property that handles removal of no-longer-needed data behind the scenes during gameplay. This change is being made to improve game performance on our 64-bit game worlds.
  • We have made further adjustments to guild renown decay to try to correct an issue where game world restarts are causing renown loss for an as-yet-unknown reason that remains under investigation.
  • An issue has been corrected that was causing specific enhancement tree familiars to stay behind when teleporting. 
  • Adjustments have been made to further minimize the impact of pathing of these familiars.
  • The movement speed of certain Feydark Illusionist familiars has been increased.
  • Feydark Illusionist familiars will now hide during combat.
  • We have corrected an issue that was preventing many players from entering a majority of guild airship portals.

This downtime will facilitate further operational movement to our new data center, which is why the downtime is particularly long. Here are the release notes for Update 70.1, released on Thursday, November 14th, 2024. 

News and Notes:

  • We have added additional server resources to Cormyr to further balance the game environment. Additional work remains underway related to game performance.
  • An adjustment has been made to the login process to remove an extraneous call to refresh account entitlements, which should save several seconds of log in time.
  • A performance adjustment has been made to the way the game worlds communicate certain types of log information to be less resource intensive.
  • The Owlbear hireling's physics size is now the size of the player or another humanoid-style Hireling to prevent a variety of issues.
  • Several typos have been fixed.
  • The Mist Stalker's Silith Warlord Abomination tooltip description now provides details about its "Acid Coated" effect.
  • Defeating Mist Stalkers in Elite and Reaper level quests now provides the proper amount of Lantern durability.
  • Fixed a bug with the spell Deific Vengeance that was causing it to do excessive damage to players.
  • NOTE: We continue to work on correcting a bug that has caused some players to not get their mounts on Cormyr. We have identified a solution that requires additional work prior to release. We expect this fix to be deployed in the near future.

We have temporarily closed the new raid Skeletons in the Closet while we work to deploy a hotfix that will correct an issue preventing completion. We expect to deploy the hotfix tomorrow.

We have brought the worlds back down due to new instances of game instability taking place. We are working on a new fix to alleviate this issue, and we will keep the game worlds down until the deployment. We are working to reopen the game worlds in about two to three hours. #DDO
